"Promise and Peril of Quantum Computing - Session II"

Host: CSPA
Location: 1155 Borregas Ave, Sunnyvale, CA
How to find us: Accelerometer Auditorium, Google Cloud Building MP1
Time: 5:00-8:30PM
Registration: please RSVP via Meetup.
NOTE: Seating in building is limited by Fire Marshal regulations and given the exciting topic and no charge, it's likely the space will fill up quickly. So it’s highly recommended you RSVP now, assuring you a seat.

Discription:
If a large-scale quantum computer can be built, it will be able to solve a wide range of important industrial problems exponentially faster than even today's best supercomputers.

So far, no one has built a commercially viable quantum computer, but as you’ll learn by attending, several companies are working hard to deliver a commercially viable machine.

As evidence of their legitimate progress, consider this recent (10/21/18) New York Times article -
The Next Tech Talent Shortage: Quantum Computing Researchers -
which points out fewer than a thousand people in the world are engaged in research in the field.

If you’re an ambitious and results-driven entrepreneur, keeping up to speed on the latest developments in Quantum Computing is the best move you can make to assure your continued success.

Attending The Promise and Peril of Quantum Computing is an especially time-effective way to become acquainted with both the technology and major players in this vibrant sector.

In particular, you’ll hear from a superposition of highly accredited experts entangle both theory and practice, as they discuss key issues such as:

- Distinct approached major players are taking and their timetables for deployment
- Which applicant sectors are receiving attention
- How Quantum Computing is attracting venture capital
- What resources are available for you to become more engaged

Experts from QC Ware, PSI Quantum, Rigetti, Cambridge Quantum Computing, Stanford and others will be speaking.

In summary, attending this highly informative session on Quantum Computing is an excellent opportunity to jump into the loop on this technology sure to make a historical impact in both commerce and culture. Lacking the insights the panel will address, you’ll be at a disadvantage to those who are informed of the timetable of this genuinely transformative technology.

Agenda:
5:00 - 6:00pm Pre-session Quantum Computing for the Rest of us
6:00 - 6:05pm Welcome and introduction by Niki Gastinel, cspa.com
6:15 - 7:15pm Quantum Computing Firms Presenting Product & Progress
7:15 - 8:15pm Panel Discussion

"2019 TAITA Annual Conference: Pushing Computing to the Edge - New Trends and Applications"

Host: TAITA
Location: Fremont Marriott Silicon Valley, 46100 Landing Parkway, Fremont, CA 95538
Time: 12:00-10:00PM
Registration: here. Afternoon program: free; Dinner banquet & Evening keynote speech: $35

Description:
Taiwanese American Industrial Technology Association (TAITA) is glad to announce its 2019 Annual Conference scheduled on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Fremont Marriott Silicon Valley.

The theme of the annual conference is” Pushing Computing to the Edge - New Trends and Applications”. With recent advances in computing and sensor technology and their associated growth in user data, some of the computing shifts away from traditionally centralized location directly to the source of the data, i.e. the "edge". This shifting trend has many benefits: lower user latency, reduction in network congestion and enhanced localized computing capabilities leading to new experiences for the user. Examples of use cases include a more interactive experience with your mobile device, self-driving cars, autonomous robots, intelligent sensor networks etc. With a distinguished panel of industry speakers, we hope that our 2019 annual conference will share with the community insights on the challenges and opportunities to come with this shifting trend.

The afternoon program is free though registration is required, and complimentary lunch will start at 12:00pm. Tickets are required for attendance at the banquet dinner and evening keynote sessions. We sincerely thank you for taking time to learn more about TAITA Annual Conference. Registration is now open, and we look forward to seeing you at the conference.
